Is KidsArts a Licensed program?

Yes, KidsArts is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). We are licensed to accomdate 55 students per day ages 5-12. Unfortunately we are unable to accept students under the age of five.

What does a typical day at KidsArts after school program look like?

2:30 - 3:45: Drop-off Time

Students are met at the school bus stop or welcomed at the door if dropped off privately, by KidsArts Staff and given a healthy snack. 

 

3pm-4:15pm: Free Time and/or Homework Time

Students have the opportunity to choose from a variety of less structured activities such as active games, reading, drawing and arts & crafts.

Or children may choose to use this time to work on their homework assignments with the supervision and help of a teacher.

 

4:15pm-4:30pm: Circle Time

Circle time provides a structured community time, helps students develop their own worldview, and offers time for group play.

 

4:30-5:30pm: Class Time

Children receive fun but structured instruction in visual, musical, dance, performance, or craft arts. Children choose from three classes every day.
 

5:30-5:45pm: Second Free Time

 

5:45-6pm: Quiet Time and Reading

 

5:30-6pm: Parent Pick-Up

How old does my child have to be to attend KidsArts?

We accept the following students during the afterschool program: 

- Students age 5 enrolled in K1 or K2
- Students age 5 - 12 years old

For the summer program your child must be turning 6 years old by the upcoming fall.

How many days must my child attend the afterschool or vacation programs?

Afterschool: A child may be enrolled for a minimum of two days per week or a maximum of five. Different classes are offered every day so there is always something new to try!

Vacation Weeks: Childen must register for the entire week, this allows them to bond as a group and work on week-long projects and attend enriching field trips.

What activities does my child participate in during KidsArts afterschool programs?

- Homework Help
- Music, Art, Theater, Dance or Movement classes. Students choose their classes at the beginning of each session. 
- Freetime with hulahoops, balls, a gym mat, puzzles, games and more!
