Join Our Community of Creative Kids!

JP KidsArts Afterschool offers a playful and creative environment for students ages 5-12 to relax, play with friends, and make art.

During Afterschool, kids have a snack, complete homework, play with friends, build community, and participate in creative art, music, and theater workshops led by our artists-as-teachers.

KidsArts offers a variety of workshops, ensuring that every student can find a class that’s right for them. All classes are taught by practicing artists, exposing kids to a variety of mediums and modes of creativity. Our year is divided into four session, with workshops changing every semester to keep kids curious and excited.

At the end of each session, KidsArts invites families to a week long showcase, where we celebrate off all the incredible things kids have created as a community!

Our program will start on Thursday September 4th and end on Thursday June 18th.

A Typical Day at KidsArts

3:00 – 4:15: Snack/Homework/Freetime 
Upon arriving by school bus, kids are greeted by our bus monitor before heading inside for the first part of our day. Kids begin the day at KidsArts by having a healthy snack before completing homework or playing with friends. 

4:15-4:30pm: Circle Time! 
During Circle Time our community comes together to play a game, shout each other out, hear announcements, and transition from free time into our art workshops for the day.

4:30 – 5:30pm: Workshop!
Each day KidsArts offers four different art workshops for kids to choose from. There is something fun for everyone, from laugh-out-loud comedy improv to meditative still life drawing!

5:30-6:00pm: Freetime/Clean Up/Pick Up We close each day with clean up and play before pick up!
