Hi Everybody, my name is Scott Saleem and I’m thrilled to be a Teaching Artist at Kids Arts! Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always loved the way that music is able to connect people through self-expression. Over the years I’ve learned to play the guitar, bass, drums, piano and sing. I’ve played in many groups over the years and also performed as a solo artist. One of my favorite things about music and art in general is collaboration. There is something special that happens when people are working together to create something true to their shared vision. That is why I love finding opportunities to help people grow through creative expression in group settings. Nature is a huge source of inspiration on my creative process and approach to teaching. My classes can be found outside more often than not, weather permitting. I strive to promote playfulness in learning as much as possible, because I believe people learn the most when they’re enjoying the process.
